You will:
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Guide students in Years 7-13 through personalised pathway planning, supporting career exploration, subject choices, and future aspirations.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Support students with tertiary, vocational, and employment options, including university entrance, scholarships, gap years, and applications for study and accommodation.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Design and deliver a high-quality Careers Education programme that builds confidence, curiosity, and real- world awareness across all year levels.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Advise on NCEA subject selection in collaboration with Deans and teachers, ensuring alignment with student goals and qualification pathways.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Help students develop individualised career plans that reflect their strengths, values, and the evolving world of work.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Work alongside teachers to integrate career competencies, future skills, and industry relevance into curriculum and classroom practice.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, training providers, employers, and community networks to enrich learning beyond the classroom.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Coordinate mentoring opportunities for learners, pathway events and initiatives, including career expos, university visits, speaker series, and work exploration opportunities.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Arrange and manage visits from and to universities and tertiary institutions.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Stay informed on current and emerging trends in education, employment, and the future of work, sharing insights across the school.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Track destinations of school leavers and maintain and report on student data.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Lead strategic initiatives that grow future readiness, including coaching approaches and personalised guidance aligned with school goals.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Act as a key point of contact for wh膩nau, providing clear information and support around subject choices, transitions, and future planning.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Develop and share resources, newsletters, and communications that keep students and families engaged in career and future planning.
路 聽 聽 聽 聽 Commit to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and embedding M膩tauranga M膩ori into your practices.
